Volunteers needed to assist with girl program at various sites throughout the East Valley (Tempe/Chandler). Programs are offered on the First Saturday of every month, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. This opportunity is flexible and based on your availability.
Girl Scouts Beyond Bars works with incarcerated mothers and their daughters in order to decrease the negative impact of parental separation. The program aims to nurture, and in some cases, reestablish, mother-daughter relationships. It is open to girls between the ages of 5-18 with a mother that is incarcerated. In addition to meeting with their mothers, girls who participate in GSBB also attend community troops, providing opportunities to build supportive friendships and a sense of belonging. Volunteer are instrumental in serving as positive role models in the community troop setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the life of a girl! Volunteer Troop Leaders provide leadership/program enrichment opportunities for girls ages 5-17.
Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council Interfaith Committee meets monthly in support of girls and their families engaged in a faith-centered Girl Scout experience. They plan events, help develop faith-specific materials, and provide insight into the cultivation of a Council culture that is truly inclusive of all faith traditions. All are Welcome!
Individuals in this position will serve as a chaperone for a one-day program event, help lead a badge activity, serve as a Cookie Coach, or help communication flow through phone calls and emails. This position is short-term and flexible! Pick and choose as your schedule allows.
